Face painting, dancing, singing, stories, yoga and crafts, cycle-powered karaoke and table tennis, there's something for kids of all ages. Wood hosts the Kids' Tent and the Den for teens and older children. Here's a peek at some of the activities we have planned this year...
Wild Den Building
ALL AGES (MEET AT THE WORKSHOP VILLAGE)
Join us to build a woodland den. You'll be guided on how to construct your own shelter, whether it's hideaway for fairies or your own mansion. Just bring your imagination, friends and family. A session for all ages, children need to be accompanied by an adult.
Parachute Games
KIDS' TENT
Come and play cooperative and fun parachute games for children of all ages. Outside if the weather allows but if too hot or wet, we'll be in the children’s tent. Our parachute is large enough for over 20 children
Clay Creations in the Woods
ALL AGES (MEET AT THE WORKSHOP VILLAGE)
Get creative with clay in the woods! Use clay and natural materials to make all kinds of creatures to live amongst the plants and trees. Suitable for all ages.
Bobby the Brown Long-Eared Bat
KIDS' TENT
“In the old farmhouse, a number of mother bats were resting, huddled together with their pups, hanging downwards along the ridge beam in the attic, with their long ears curled backwards like rams horns. Amongst them were Bobby and his mum.” Join the author A.S. Mills as she reads the story of little Bobby, his family of bats and the first journey he takes in the outside world.
Boogie Mites: Family Music-Making Fun!
KIDS' TENT
Aimed at under 5s and their grown-ups (older siblings really welcome to join in!) Join Lizzie from Boogie Mites for some music-making fun. We'll be dancing, singing and exploring instruments.

Join arts charity Jelly for a playful, fun, artist-led drop-in family costumed life drawing session. Be the model or artist and explore creative drawing and mark-making techniques.

Join Ursella on her quest to find her family. What colours will you paint on the cave walls? Can you roar like a bear, or sing to the stars? An immersive story for kids and their adults, by Seedbed Theatre.

Tree-Tastic
KIDS' TENT
Join Junk Jodie and Jenny on a journey through the Amazon rainforest. Learn how we can protect the trees and the animals' homes, as well as the benefits that the trees and the Amazon rainforest provide for the planet. This interactive storytelling show includes songs and dancing and is designed to inspire you to create toys from junk and bring them to life with your imagination. This performance takes place on Saturday.

Get ready to spread your wings high and soar through the sky with Junk Jodie and Beverly Butterfly. Discover the wonders of mindfulness in a Rainbow-Licious way! Meet their recycled friends, including Ronald Rabbit, Barry Badger, and Uni Unicorn, and get inspired to create toys from junk and bring them to life with your imagination! Enjoy sing-along songs and rhymes and a vibrant array of colours… This performance takes place on Saturday.

Make a copper wire ornament in the shape of a bat to celebrate the Year of the Bat! Participants must be 13+ and accompanied by an adult.
Festival Crowns

Make a colourful, glittery festival crown with community artist Lizzy McBain, to wear at the festival. Suitable for children & adults. This is a drop in workshop but please come early to ensure there are enough materials.
Giant Cardboard Construction
ALL AGES
Come along to this sculpture workshop; have fun creating with cardboard! Join in to make a big group sculpture or make one by yourself. Learn cardboard sculpture skills for joining sections together, making textures, along with how to use papier maché.
Mini Mosaics
KIDS TENT
Make a mini mosaic in a jam jar lid, using bits and pieces - broken china, little shells, and anything you'd like to bring in yourself to make it special!
Lino-cut Printmaking

Create your own lino-cut print inspired by the Year of the Bat in this fun, hands-on 60-minute workshop. Perfect for beginners and creatives over 12.
Ecogames: Operation Ocean
