A capella Harmony Singing

A cappella Harmony Singing

Come and sing all sorts of songs with Katy Rose Bennett in sweet a cappella harmony. The songs are taught by ear; all abilities welcome - no previous singing experience needed. Don't miss Katy performing on Sunday in the Treebadour Tent where you can share what your've learned!

Evening Bat Walk

Celebrate the Year of the Bat with Charlotte from the Berks and South Bucks Bat Group on Saturday evening with a walk around the grounds of Braziers Park to learn about the bat community that shares this space.

A good way of stretching out after a long night of dancing or camping, or simply wanting to move your body. These sessions, led by Anette, are suitable for everyone, from beginners to intermediates - all are welcome. If you have one, do bring a mat or blanket to lie on, there will be some available.

Learn to calm and settle the mind with Buddhist meditation in the Samatha tradition. The word samatha means calm. Try out chanting in Pali. We will be sitting on the ground so please bring a rolled up sleeping bag.

Astronomy Walk and Talk

Meet just after sunset on both Friday and Saturday nights for a walk around Braziers. Even when there is extraneous light, there is still quite a lot that can be seen without any telescope, binoculars or other special equipment. We will be pointing out planets, stars and constellations, and Cathy will tell stories (both scientific and mythical) of stars, planets and constellations. You may see the international space station passing too!

Join us to build a woodland den. You'll be guided on how to construct your own shelter, whether it's hideaway for fairies or your own mansion. Just bring your imagination, friends and family. A session for all ages, children need to be accompanied by an adult.

Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond

Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond

These sessions are taught by Louise, an experienced practicing midwife who has been running the workshop at Wood for over 10 years. 

Day 1- An opportunity to come and learn about how to have a positive pregnancy, empowering birth and learn active birth tools and hypnobirthing techniques.

Day 2 - Learn baby massage techniques and responsive parenting.

Conversations with Owls

Conversations with Owls

Accompanied by Owla and Phyllis, her rescued barn and tawny owls, Zoologist Dr Sasha Norris will speak about the needs of wild animals and our desperate desire and need for connection with the natural world; how this manifests in wildlife rescue work and how we can best direct it to help biological diversity everywhere. Sasha runs a wildlife sanctuary in Herefordshire, as well as registered charity Siren Conservation Education. Sasha shares her home with over 100 rescued animals and 20 different species whom she cares for and observes diligently throughout the year. They are, she says, her greatest teachers.

Come and etch a Tetra-pak print from an old juice or milk carton and then print it using a pasta making machine. You could even print a few to swap with friends.

Singing together as a community is a simple and powerful way to create the change we want to see in the world. Join singer songwriter Lisa Doscher and sing inspiring and uplifting songs to help us through challenging times. We’ll make beautiful harmonies together and every voice has a place. Come as you are, no experience necessary!
